        I agree with Jeff. Brokaw would bring a gravitas that would be hard for a candidate to dismiss. Backed by a good panel for questions, this would achieve the aim of getting a public conversation on science policy and the role of science in public policy.

        If Sciencedebate could recruit him to this, it would be a real coup. Somebody who could stay outside partisanship and away from culture war triggers like he seems able to do would be ideal.
