A top science question the candidates for president should answer is:

What will it cost to store the nations current and anticipated levels of used nuclear fuel given the half-life of typical fuel components?

A president should understand the concept of half-life and what the half life is for spent nuclear fuels. He should know what options are available for safely storing such fuels, and given an annual cost to do so properly, should be able to estimate the future cost to the nation of storing spent fuels
